However, although diesel engines have never been cleaner, the challenges faced by our planet call for even greater action. By 2050, more and more countries and organisations are committing themselves to a target of reaching a net-zero carbon emission footprint. The relatively small fans allowed us to utilise our existing bulkhead, where we were severely limited by space, which allowed us to use our existing infrastructure and dramatically reduce downtime in the mine during the change out. The installation was completed safely... and allows us to scale our ventilation flow with their pressure on demand system to suit our production profile.
We have utilised MINETEK for a number of sound attenuation projects in the Hunter Valley and have formed an excellent relationship with Glencore over many years. MINETEK understand our industry and always provide a solid and professional commitment to meeting our goals and objectives."
It was completed with no incidents or injuries, with no delays, and ahead of schedule. The plan was for 10 shifts, and it was completed in 7 shifts.
